Human Resources & Training Manager
After 2 years, I earned a promotion to the Human Resources & Training Manager - an executive position serving as a member of the Leadership Team, with one direct report. Focuses in HR continue to include Full-cycle recruiting, Employee On-boarding, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, FMLA/OFLA administration, ADA compliance, Worker Compensation/On-the-job injuries, OSHA reporting, Annual Compensation Analysis, Job Description creation and maintenance, Company policy review and interpretation. Employee Relations: FMLA, OFLA, ADA, investigations (allegations, complaints, other employee concerns), assist with performance appraisals, counseling techniques, documentation, etc. Hiring: Sourcing candidates, screening, monitor background checks, drug screening, on-boarding, NEO presentations Recruiting: Partner with Branch & Operations Managers throughout the company to determine hiring needs, source agencies as needed, finding and attending job/career fairs, ad placement, screening, scheduling and conducting interviews, job offers, etc. Benefits Administration: ACA reporting and compliance, healthcare administration (enrollment, COBRA), PTO, etc. 401(k) processing. Payroll: Assist locations with time-entry; creating and editing crew sheets when needed. Assures all time is accurate and ready for processing by deadline. Processing PTO payout checks. Full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees; filing appropriate Federal and State taxes. Compensation: Analyzes pay structure for branch locations. Coaching management on consistency in rate and base offers. Social Media: Building recruiting presence with concentration on Facebook. Currently exploring Instagram, Twitter, Glassdoor and LinkedIn Other Responsibilities: Writing policies, updating handbooks, ensuring company is current on all paperwork, posters, etc. Processing unemployment claims and appeals when necessary.
