Lead a team of network analysts that oversee the campus and wide area network. Services include data center routing and switching, optical networking, hundreds of domestic and international sites, hardware load balancing, hardware WAN optimization, wired and wireless infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, and many other enterprise grade networking services. I worked on the Local Area Network (LAN) team until the beginning of 2010 where I installed and configured a large optical network provide carrier and connectivity redundancy for our voice and data circuits. I approved all work to be performed by the team that consisted of network optimizers, load balancers, wireless infrastructure and enterprise data center switches and routers. In early 2010 I began work on our network perimeter team supporting and designing our implementations of firewalls, IDS, proxies, and file transfer solutions. I programmed and designed the file transfer solution and oversaw the technical direction of our Internet presence and perimeter security.

During this time frame I was the lead technician for our hardware load balancers, developing wireless infrastructure, optical MUX’s and protocol analysis solution. I maintained the hardware load balancers which included troubleshooting applications to a network protocol level for services delivered through the platform. Designed and help implement a guest wired and wireless network infrastructure. Installed, configured and troubleshot optical network issues and solutions for our evolving fiber network. I designed a protocol analysis solution using Cisco’s RSPAN which allowed our technicians to take a network trace at any point on our network without leaving their desk.
