My position at Enterprise Rent-a-car was a 12 month placement as part of my 4 year sandwich course at Leeds Beckett University. During my year at Enterprise Rent-a-car, I continued to develop and learn a vast range of skills. Some of which are; communicating with customers and members of the organisation on both a professional and personal level; developing business relations with other organisations that use our service; identifying and solving problems within day to day tasks in the role; using initiative to take charge of situations suggest better practices for the organisations to implement; joining with my work colleagues to complete tasks together. My year placement played a vital role in developing my business knowledge and attitude, and without a doubt will have given me many personal and academic skills to apply in my future career.

MAC carbon fabrics was a small business that I had started up during my time at university. My business specialised in the buying and selling of carbon fibre material to be used in either small hobbies or on larger projects that the buyer desired to use my products in. Roles on my behalf were as such; sourcing the fabrics from my supplier; packaging and distributing my products nationwide; managing finances for my business and promoting my business at any opportunity that I was able to. MAC carbon fabrics played an essential role in giving me some experience in day to day business activity, and gave me a taste of what dedication and skill it took to make a business, small or large, be able to run efficiently and effectively.
