I am a highly motivated and passionate individual who graduated in July with a BSc (Hons) Pharmacology degree at the second class level from Nottingham Trent University. In July I joined the Clinical Laboratory team at Quotient Sciences as a Clinical Laboratory Technician. I have extensive Laboratory training including experience operating within the Rosalind Franklin Containment Level 2 Laboratory. I have been educated in a wide array of topics including: Clinical Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Toxicology and Professional Skills in Pharmacology. I have perfect punctuality, never missing a Laboratory session and always arriving on time in order to get the complete safety briefing.I have and can work to strict deadlines and have never missed one in my academic career.Laboratory Skills:- Electrophoresis, including pouring of agar gel, setting of wells, use of DNA ladder and substance staining.- Köhler Illumination.- Cell Counting using a Haemocytometer.- Gutbath, using live samples of Guinea Pig Ileum and simulated instances.- Labstar Programme, due to the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 I have extensive knowledge of simulated laboratory programmes and have completed assessments based on these simulations.- Spectrophotometry- Safe operation of small CentrifugesDuring my time at Wolgarston 6th Form, I competed in the British Biology Olympiad, being awarded a Bronze Certificate.At my local archery club, Mitchell Archery Penkridge, I competed in club competitions, coming 3rd in the U16s category, and back to back 1st in the Adult Competition.
