Specifically, I am working on measures to support the development of the social enterprise sector and their incredibly valuable roles in supporting people experiencing disadvantage into meaningful, sustainable employment.

As a Senior Policy Officer with ARC's Research and Integrity Section, I undertake research and liaise with stakeholders from government and the research sector to assist in the review, development, and implementation of research integrity policies.I also provide secretariat services, including analyses and guidance, for the Australian Research Integrity Committee (ARIC).

Assisted in the development of a series of interrelated policies, and managed a discrete project (“management and clearance of defects”), directed at improving the mechanical condition of Australia’s heavy vehicle fleet.

Nsw Far North Coast

I relocated with my young family to the Far North Coast of NSW in late 2011 to explore modes of building community and living sustainably. I undertook extensive volunteer work to this end, including for the Murwillumbah Community Garden (Founding and Steering Committee Member) and the Caldera Environment Centre (Secretary). I supported these activities through paid employment in the heavy vehicle, construction, and agricultural industries. Between April 2014 and April 2017 I studied full-time toward a BA (Professional Writing and Publishing), which I supported through varied casual roles and a period of self-employment. Throughout this latter period, my volunteer activities extended to leading roles in a range of projects and committees on a remote community (“Mebbin Rocks”).

In a succession of roles spanning nearly eight years, I developed and implemented Australian Government policy interventions relating to:• subsidisation of cancer chemotherapy and other pharmaceutical benefits;• assistance for people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa;• elderly patients in acute care pending longer-term care options;Additionally, during two separate temporary secondments, I:• assisted negotiation of the $15.4 billion 5th Community Pharmacy Agreement (5CPA), contributing content and costings to the ensuing cabinet submission; and,• managed the department’s Environmental Management System.
