At a young age, my father would take me to his Sandwich Shop (Andy’s Sandwich Shoppe on Lane Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida) on the days I didn’t have school. He taught me how to greet customers, wipe tables, prep food, sweep, and occasionally run the register. During my freshman year at Bishop Kenny High School, I decided to work at Publix part-time and my job was to bag groceries, greet customers, help unload their groceries, stock goods, clean bathrooms, and retrieve carts from the parking lot. It is a great company to work for and I met a lot of people along the way Halfway through my Senior year I decided to make a change and started a new position at Walgreens. I was a cashier and I organized storage boxes and loaded items in the freezer. I was there for a limited time and had to resign from my position to further my education at Tallahassee to start the Summer of my Freshman year. My career path is construction management. Over Christmas Break, I went to Birmingham, Alabama to work under my uncle who too is self-employed. He owns a well-established Flooring Company (Homewood Carpet & Flooring) that specializes in Commercial and Residential flooring. During my time there, he taught me how to read blueprints, measure for flooring, figure out the amount of flooring I would need for each job, quote the job to a client, and work in the Warehouse loading and unloading products. With my Work ethic and upbringing, I have no doubt I would provide the best quality work that is given to me. I just need the opportunity to learn and grow. I am motivated by my family to push for my goals. I see myself as a leader who wants to learn different things every day. I am confident and motivated in myself. I am skilled at anything I push for like my past jobs.
