Environmental Health Safety Specialist
CurrentEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections of facilities, manufacturing processes, and equipment.• Identify potential safety and environmental hazards related to hazardous chemicals, high-temperature processes, noise,• Recommend and implement corrective actions and safety improvements to minimize risks.• Lead investigations of workplace injuries, near-misses, and incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are taken.• Maintain detailed records of incidents, injuries, and corrective actions in compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.• Develop and update EHS policies, procedures, and training programs such as Bloodborne Pathogens and Ergonomics.• Design and conduct employee training on EHS topics, such as hazard communication• Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship by engaging employees at all levels in safety initiatives and EHS compliance.• Serve as a subject matter expert for EHS-related questions and guidance within the organization.• Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, operations, and facilities teams to integrate EHS considerations into aerospace design and production processes.• Provide regular updates to leadership on EHS performance metrics, including safety incident rates, environmental compliance, and corrective actions.
