Christopher has over 20 years of broad experience in the building design and construction industry in southern New England. He has successfully managed design and commissioning services for multiple projects within the academic, housing, corporate and retail markets. These projects range from commissioning energy audit walkthroughs to leading the design team for a new K-12 school for the Rhode Island School for the Deaf and the commissioning team for a new middle school for the City of Cambridge. He has experience in managing and participating in all phases of design and commissioning processes from programming, development of Owner’s Project Requirements, code and design review, consultant coordination, construction administration, functional performance verification and first year monitoring.Christopher's technical expertise coupled with his desire to make a positive impact on the world has fueled a passion for building science and sustainable design. This passion has driven Christopher to incorporate sustainable design measures in all of his projects by working with project teams to establish project goals, identify system options, and maximize the tradeoffs between design decisions.Christopher is an active member of New England's design and construction community, serving as Chair of AIA Rhode Island’s Committee on the Environment (AIAri COTE) from 2007-2013 and representing AIA Rhode Island on Rhode Island’s Green Buildings Advisory Council where he currently chairs the council’s International Green Construction Code (IgCC) subcommittee. Christopher also is a member of the Rhode Island Public Energy Partnership’s School Energy Working Group that seeks to identify barriers and opportunities regarding energy efficiency in Rhode Island’s public schools.
