I serve as an attorney in the environmental/natural resources and administrative fields. My position has provided experience in a variety of regulatory practice areas including clean air, clean water, solid waste, and hazardous waste. I have a strong background in analyzing data and laws and communicating goals, policies, and advice to a variety of clients. In my current position, I work proactively to maintain a consistently high quality work product with a heavy case load. It has been very rewarding to maintain and grow in a position that positively affects my community while allowing personal and professional development through continual experience, exposure, and challenge. I am proud to have been able to help communities, local governments, and the regulated community in finding solutions, be that through effective aid, policies, or compliance and enforcement.Working with the regulated community, local governments, and interested members of the public has given me many opportunities to grow in effective communication, reliable yet quick legal interpretations, consistent case management, and developing solutions that seek to maintain the regulatory relationships for the long-term. Manage and oversee paralegal staff and public records custodial program. Provide legal representation, services, and advice for the Department’s various divisions and bureaus up to and including the cabinet secretary. Conduct legal and factual research and prepare legal memos, pleadings, and correspondence. Prepare technical witnesses for hearings, depositions, or trials. Environmental Improvement Board, Water Quality Control Commission, Occupational Health and Safety Review Commission, N.M. District Court, and N.M. Supreme Court. Provide ongoing legal advice to the New Mexico Wastewater Technical Advisory Committee.
