The redevelopment of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct is a priority infrastructure project for the NSW Government. It will create a public arts and cultural hub on Sydney’s famous waterfront, while preserving its iconic heritage. The project has refurbished and updated the arts facilities in Wharf 4/5 and will create new facilities and performance venues in Pier 2/3.On completion, the revitalised Walsh Bay Arts precinct will be home to an expanded group of companies:Sydney Theatre CompanySydney Dance CompanyBangarra Dance TheatreSydney Philharmonia ChoirsGondwana ChoirsThe Song CompanyBell ShakespeareAustralian Chamber OrchestraAustralian Theatre for Young People.As Operational Readiness Manager assisted in bringing the project to a successful completion, and in conjunction with the contractor assisting end users and client teams to become fully operational in the new buildings and facilities delivered at Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.

The Rugby World Cup, held over the course of seven weeks, is the 3rd largest sports event in the world after the summer Olympics and the Football World Cup. In September-October 2019 Japan will host the event, the first time for an Asian nation. The tournament will take place in 12 cities throughout Japan with 48 matches being played by 20 participating teams.Seconded from MI Associates Chris is providing project management expertise to the local Japan Rugby World Cup Organising Committee. Responsibilities include: developing a comprehensive risk management processes, programme management and facilitating integration and effective communication among local and international stakeholders. Chris is also leading the development of a comprehensive readiness program which includes: testing the tournament time organisational structure, crisis management planning, contingency planning and a readiness testing program.

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE RENEWAL PROJECT ($220M)Responsible for the start-up activities associated with the Opera House renewal projects.Key Responsibilities:• Contracting of design consultants, across a range of disciplines both typical and bespoke.• Design management and coordination.• Scope development and procurement.• Consultant co-ordination• Stakeholder consultation.• Preparation of development application documentation and submission• Preparation, interface and negotiation with both Commonwealth and NSW Government departments related to statutory heritage and planning approvals.• Strategic programming and planning to achieve tight time frames in complex regulatory frameworks

Allianz Stadium Redevelopment ($1B)Working alongside an MI Associates Project Director, Chris was responsible for the development of the concept design for the redevelopment of Allianz Stadium.• Development of the consultant scope documentation and the tendering and contracting of design consultants.• Management of the consultant design team to develop the concept design documentation.• Design management and coordination.• Scope development.• Stakeholder and sporting partner consultation.• Programme development and management.• Development of the client brief.• Documentation of the final concept design report.• Consultant commercial management and cost reporting.• Consultant contract close out activities.

Moorebank Unit Relocation (MUR) 2012- Design, 2013- Delivery The Moorebank Units Relocation (MUR) project will relocate a number of Defence units and facilities from Moorebank, New South Wales (NSW), to the nearby Holsworthy Barracks, in order to facilitate the construction of the Moorebank Intermodal Freight Terminal (Moorebank IMT) announced by the Government in the 2012-2013 Federal Budget. Involvement in the following aspects through the Projects design:a) Development of the Master Plan and user group consultationb) Design development through phases of the project (CDR, SDR and DDR)c) Construction logistics, consultation and planningd) Relocation and decanting strategy, investigation and implementationHP Data Centre 2011- Construction and onsite supervision of the delivery of Administration block attached to two 2,300m² data halls

Building the Education Revolution (BER) 2010-2011Laing O'Rourke has overseen the delivery of new school infrastructure across more than half of NSW after being engaged as Managing Contractor for the federal government's Building the Education Revolution program. The project involved the construction of new and refurbished buildings such as halls, covered outdoor learning areas, libraries and off-site manufactured buildings in 319 schools state wide. Initial involvement in the design implementation and construction planning and procurement for project implementation across and broad and varied geographic area.In 2011 role entailed coordinating delivery with partners, school stakeholders, government agencies, local community groups and the school communities. Relocated to Orange central west NSW and was responsible for the delivery of 25 projects during which time effectively engaged with all key stakeholder groups to successfully deliver the project to meet expectations.
