Hello! I am currently a Health Science Policy Analyst at the NIH Sexual & Gender Minority Research Office (SGMRO). In this position, I promote the health of sexual and gender minority (SGM) communities through analysis of grant portfolios, strategic planning, scientific workshop development, outreach coordination, mentorship, technical assistance, and representation on relevant trans-NIH, -HHS, and -federal committees and working groups. Prior to joining the SGMRO, I was at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Within the NICHD's Office of Science Policy, Reporting, and Program Analysis, I analyzed and reported information about NICHD's efforts to promote and protect child and maternal health and to assess and address health disparities to a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders. I actively participate in and help to organize outreach efforts to understand and address issues of equity in health, education, and participation in STEM, as well as to encourage and foster the next generation of scientists. My previous work at the doctoral and post-doctoral levels focused on gene-environment interactions that may predispose individuals to neurobehavioral disorders.
