I am currently attached to the Bill and Melinda Gates-funded Global Polio Eradication Initiative – Lessons Learned, and the Synthesis and Translation of Research and Innovation from Polio Eradication (STRIPE) Projects. These projects are in conjunction with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Responsibilities have included facilitating and providing technical and administrative support in activities ranging from data collection, interpretation of data and reporting with regards to the global Polio Eradication Initiative. Furthermore, I contributed to the design and development of a short course in implementation sciences based on data collected from the Polio program and the development of academic papers based on data collected from the projects.

Course administrator for the West African College of Physicians revision courses, including Primaries, Part One, and Research Methodology. As the course administrator, I provided administrative and workflow management support for team members and participants, including coordinating the activities of over five hundred (500) participants throughout the duration of the course. This involved physical and virtual coordination of correspondences with the course coordinators, facilitators and participants, and the use of file hosting applications for sharing study materials with participants. I also supervised the financial administrative processes for the course, including balancing accounts.

As the social media manager, I was tasked with creating a branded online presence of the department on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I also coordinated physical and virtual correspondences with researchers, academic staff and other stakeholders in the department.I was contributed to the planning of the annual iResearch Days, hosted by the department to facilitate research within and outside the University of Ibadan and provide an avenue for networking among researchers. The iResearch Days also provided platforms for researchers to present findings from their studies, an invaluable opportunity especially for those seeking grants and other forms of assistance for the furtherance of their work.

As the conference manager for the Third Society for Public Health Professionals of Nigeria (SPHPN)/ Second African Federation of Public Health Associations (AFPHA) Conference, I was saddled with the overseeing and managing activities leading up to the conference, and after the conference, including the conference itself. As a member of the Local Organizing Committee, I organized meeting logistics, preparing meeting materials, preparing minutes and actions, track next steps on meeting outcomes and communications. Furthermore, I was in charge of coordinating physical and virtual correspondences regarding meeting logistics, preparing meeting materials, preparing minutes and actions, track next steps on meeting outcomes and communications. I coordinated travel arrangements as needed, including flights, accommodation, visa application, and ground transportation, including managing the itineraries of invited guests and oversaw the financial administrative processes for the conference, including balancing conference accounts.

As an intern, I reviewed patient treatment records on antiretroviral therapy and used the District Health Information Software (DHIS) in reporting data collected in the field weekly. I also participated in community outreaches where I co-anchored health promotional talks with community members and facilitated capacity building exercises for community healthcare workers. I also participated in community outreaches while interning with Pro-Health International. I was responsible for the recording of anthropometric measurements of community members, as well as blood pressure and body mass indices and other general health indicators. I co-anchored health educational talk on personal hygiene with community members and also oversaw the informed flow of participants from one service delivery point to another.
