Manage and oversee day to day operations of print production facility.

Under direction, I manage the production of printed materials from entry of project through delivery of finished materials to customers. I establish production plans which meet customer’s requirements in an efficient and cost effective manner. I maximize use of equipment, labor, and supplies by working with staff members to accomplish projects. Duties included: Supervision and management of a second shift of digital printers, plotter operators, and finishing techs, color profiling, Caldera RIP, pre flighting art files for printers, building daily work flows, overlook and update work in progress report, and general maintenance on all equipment.

My job was to interpret the client’s business needs and develop a concept to suit their purpose. By estimating the time required to complete the design on a time line, I develop design briefs by gathering information and data through research, thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts by using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time. I work as part of a team of printers, journalist, photographers, designers, and sales representatives.
