- Collaborates with DoD stakeholders to understand their information technology requirements and objectives, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure needs.-Assist in the design and integration of complex information systems and solutions, ensuring compatibility with DISA's standards and guidelines.-Ensure that IT solutions meet rigorous security and compliance standards, following DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other relevant DoD cybersecurity policies.-Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system designs, configurations, and implementation plans.-Conduct testing and validation of IT systems and applications to ensure they meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.-Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to deployed systems and applications, often working in coordination with DISA's cybersecurity teams.-Participate in risk assessments and security evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.-Provide training and support to end-users and technical staff within the DoD to ensure proper use and maintenance of IT systems.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to assess their potential application within the DoD and DISA.-Work closely with other DISA personnel, DoD agencies, and contractors to meet project objectives and support the agency's mission.-Manage and maintain configuration control for IT systems and components, ensuring changes are well-documented and meet DISA's standards.-Assist in project management activities, including project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
