I've developed a correlative light and EM (CLEM) technique at C-CINA, Basel, Switzerland and employ a stage onto which I can load ultrathin samples attached to EM grids to visualize them directly in the fluorescent microscope. I can then map areas of interest, say on GFP labeled proteins and then load the same grids into the transmission electron.
