Executive DirectorCoastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group Mar 2020 - PresentSinton, Texas, United StatesStrategically plan and implement CBDRG's disaster recovery efforts in the eleven counties of the Coastal Bend (Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, and San Patricio, Texas). This position synchronizes the three other division activities (Case Management, Volunteer & Donations Management, and Construction Management). This position coordinates the effective implementation of the mission, goals, and strategies of Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group (CBDRG) as established by the Board of Directors. The position collaborates with the respective local governments, faith-based volunteers, and other VOADs supporting long-term recovery in the Coastal Bend. During my tenure as Executive Director in have overseen a budget of $3.3 million. CBDRG since 3/1/2020 has rebuilt 37 new homes engineered for winds up to 134 mph and provided 19 Manufactured Home replacements in four different counties. 147 of CBDRG's clients received new Texas GLO HAP homes. -

Development and strategic implementation of policies and procedures needed to promote continuity of services. The position utilizes the various functions of case management, and social services during the deliverance of services. Coordinates the effective implementation of the mission, goals, and strategies of CBDRG as established by the Board of Directors under the direction of the Executive Director. Collaborate with the respective local government, the faith-based volunteer, and other VOADs supporting long-term recovery.1) Responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of disaster case management program including tracking, reporting, outreach, and staff supervision.2) Plans, organizes, and directs a unit of Case Managers engaged in assessing clients’ needs for social services, counseling, and assists clients in obtaining services in according with agency policies.3) Evaluates staff performance, and help determine the urgency of cases and make recommendations to management and staff.4) Review cases to ensure timeliness, accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with policies and procedures; and confers with staff regarding issues or problems.5) Ensures the proper security of client records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Law, agency and contract policy.6) Prepares and participates in the development of program services, and the implementation of policies, and procedures; interprets policies and procedures to determine impact on operations, and prepares narratives and statistical reports to communicate information such as services trends.7) Case Management Division reached out to 6,450 house holds in the Texas Coastal Bend with its Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. We were able to help over 700 of these households and complete the recovery of 300 homes. -
