I edit country reports for Nations in Transit, Freedom House's annual survey of democracy in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.

I met with stakeholders, including political parties, candidates, and election officials, to assess the fairness of the campaign period and the election commission’s preparedness for Azerbaijan’s September parliamentary elections. I wrote detailed, analytical weekly reports based on our findings, which were used by the OSCE in releasing official statements about the elections. I also made logistical preparations for five teams of short-term observers, which included hiring drivers and interpreters, arranging hotels, mapping out polling places for observers to visit, and preparing a regional briefing guide.

I wrote and edited investigative reports on human rights and environmental abuses in supply chains, as well as the annual report, web content, and social media posts. I spearhead the organizational communications strategy, including social media, earned media, and events. I also developed a more streamlined drafting and review process to ensure our deliverables were both accurate and completed on schedule. I created new templates to make our reports more compelling and accessible.

I provided research, fact-checking, analysis, and substantive and copyediting for Freedom House's annual publications, Freedom in the World and Freedom on the Net. I ensured that the reports submitted aligned with Freedom House's rigorous methodology and met the organization's high standard of quality.

I wrote content and provided editorial support for complex, detailed proposals with local and state clients for infrastructure projects. I engaged with staff to produce written content for use in promotional materials and awards submittals.

As project manager for the New Actors and Innovative Approaches to Peacebuilding project, I edited case studies, policy briefs, and other documents relevant to the project for clarity and content, which were ultimately included in a volume published by Palgrave Macmillan. I conducted research on emerging powers and peacebuilding, and co-wrote a paper on the subject that was presented at the International Studies Association Conference. I wrote content for and managed the project website, and drafted reports on the project’s activities. I managed all of our grant reporting and ensured that we complied with the grant requirements. I organized workshops and conferences for the project involving international stakeholders, and managed the budget and finances. I worked closely with our international project partners from civil society and academia to ensure that we met our goals and deadlines.

As Program Coordinator with CCD, I helped develop and implement programs that promote greater support for democracy in governments' foreign policies. I wrote grant proposals to government agencies, intergovernmental organizations, and private foundations, and designed project budgets. I organized workshops and events on civic education, and worked with international civil society partners to develop National Democracy Education Action Plans. I also coordinated the efforts of the International Steering Committee of the Community of Democracies, an international civil society coalition that advocated with the CD.I managed the budget, accounting, and administration of the organization, and wrote content for the website as well. I ensured that we complied with grant requirements and wrote all of the narrative and financial reports.

I developed programs on governance and election observation in Nigeria. I initiated a project that assesses the budget and development issues in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory. I wrote an analysis of the FCT's 2012 budget, and I organized workshops and conferences that brought stakeholders together to discuss budgetary and development issues in Abuja. I also developed much of the organization’s written record, including its 2011 annual report, and helped establish its presence on social media platforms such as Facebook.

I met with election officials, political parties, the media, CSO's, and security officials to assess the political environment surrounding the 2011 presidential and legislative elections in Liberia. I wrote weekly reports based on my findings, which were used by the Carter Center in its statements and reports on the election. I briefed short-term observers on the political and electoral situation in my area of responsibility.

I wrote content for the website of a new NGO working to increase transparency in Africa through new media, including mobile technology and social networking.I also organized launch event attended by 125 leaders in the private, public, and non-profit sectors and established Accender's presence on social networking sites, including Twitter and Facebook

Analyzed data and wrote a comprehensive report on the relationship between young people and the police in Lagos for NGO dedicated to police reform and better governance in Nigeria
