The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to re-engineer existing and develop new Divisional business processes, to manage and lead critical Divisional projects, and to lead the strategic direction, identification and prioritising of enhancements of student experience systems focusing on, but not limited to, the Student Customer Relationship management (CRM) System and other integrated and supporting systems. The position also manages the prioritisation of projects aligned to process review and systemdevelopment, and their alignment to UOW’s Strategic Plan.

The Waste and Resource Recovery Manager contributes to creating an Extraordinary Wollongong by leading the Waste Services branch to successfully deliver the Wollongong Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy which is aligned with Council’s commitment to Climate Change Mitigation.This position is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the collection, processing and disposal of waste, recyclables and compostable material throughout the City in a manner that is consistent with leading practice and the evolving needs of the community.

Responsible for the development, procurement and management of waste related services and consultancy contracts, and to ensure that Council’s waste services are provided in accordance with regulatory requirements.Also responsible for contributing to the Waste Services leadership team, project management services and assisting to develop and influence waste policy, strategy and services provided to the communitySuccess in this role relies on having an innovative nature and problem solving ability as well as leadership skills and business acumen.

6 Month opportunity to lead the Infrastructure + Land partner team to effectively deliver services that provide for the support, management and development of Infrastructure and Land systems and solutions. Responsibilities include: - ensure the strategic alignment of systems development, operation and service management of Infrastructure and Land systems and solutions with the organisational needs. - design, develop and manage an effective vendor relationship that aligns the support of Infrastructure and Land systems and solutions with the strategic and operational goals of Council.- developing and managing effective vendor relationships that align with the strategic and operational goals of Wollongong City Council.- review and analysis of business and system processes to identify opportunities for service improvement and development of appropriate service improvement plans.- developing effective business relationships between IMT and the business to ensure the delivery of IT services are aligned to business needs. - providing accurate and timely operational reporting to enable effective decision support.

This position provides a key role in the realisation of strategic objectives and long-term customer and community value for Council’s waste and resource recovery business. Duties include analysing business processes, performance and financial modelling, along with strong communication and influencing skills to analyse and document business processes and strategic data to support a broad range of projects and initiatives that deliver continuous improvement, whilst minimising risk. I successfully work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes that improve business and customer value.
