I am a motivated and hard-working social science researcher with over six years of experience utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods. Specifically, I am an expert in survey methodology, having conducted multiple studies analyzing both primary and secondary survey data as a part of my PhD dissertation. I am also proficient in quasi-experimental methods, descriptive and inferential statistics including correlation and regression analyses, as well as experienced in conducting interviews, focus groups, narrative analyses, and ethnographies. My areas of focus are crime and deviant behavior (completing a criminology comprehensive exam in 2023), mass communication, misinformation, social theory, and social contagions. I am especially interested in the impacts of globalization and technology on society. What would our pre-Industrialization ancestors think of our digital society? Does our understanding of humanity change with each iPhone update? To what degree is human behavior malleable to outside influences? And how can we parlay this knowledge into actionable solutions in 2024? With questions like these I have sharpened my passion for uncovering sociological insight into all aspects of society. I look forward to this work.
