Special projects My previous experience as a scientist has been leveraged for a number of one-off projects at RSM. These have varied from writing articles on tax for trade magazines, to excel processing of complex datasets, to business development work and product development work. Worked at the Unversite Sorbonne (Paris VI) on a European Space Agency grant. I used an earth orbiting satellite (SMOS- Surface Moisture Ocean Salinity) in order to track the water movements in the tropical Pacific ocean. The aim of this work was to understand exactly how rainfall influenced this complex oceanographic system.My time was split between writing algorithms in Matlab/ R, processing big data (typically>5GB file sizes), graphing output and writing and presenting findings.
