I am a research economist in the the Office of the Chief Economist. My current research areas include measuring index investment in agricultural futures and swaps markets, modeling the use of derivatives and other hedging strategies by commercial farms, and understanding arbitrage in energy markets.
I worked in the Farm Economy Branch of the Resource and Rural Economics Division at ERS. My research examined how U.S. Ag policy and the farm economy affect U.S. farm business finances and production, and the well-being of their associated households.
