Christopher Conover is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Office of the CFO Solutions practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. He has experience serving in interim management roles, leading company initiatives, going-public readiness, and technical transactional accounting. He has industry experience in financial services, real estate, travel and leisure and laboratory testing.Mr. Conover has more than 18 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership roles. He has led a variety of finance initiatives including strategic and functional design, planning and tactical execution, capital & debt acquisitions, complex tax structuring and compliance, cash flow optimization and financial forecasting, IT and business operations integration, and financial reporting design, implementation and execution.Prior to joining FTI, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and EVP of Finance and Corporate Strategy for a publicly traded real estate company. In this role, he was responsible for the oversight of finance, capital markets initiatives, accounting, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, SEC and Nasdaq compliance, investor relations, tax compliance, human resources and purchasing. He was also an investment committee member where he was responsible for the review of M&A activities, including due diligence and underwriting; prospective deal underwriting and approval; investment performance monitoring, including proforma updates and analysis; risk identification and management strategies; and coordination with external capital sources. As CFO, Mr. Conover was also the signatory and held oversight on all company tax filings and correspondence, audits, quarterly reviews, and SEC reporting.
