The bulk of my work involved solid-form screening of active pharmaceutical ingredients for clients of Eurofins. Samples were subjected to recrystallization under variable temperature/solvent mixture conditions and then characterized using PXRD, DSC/TGA, and DVS. Throughout this process I liaised with clients for project review and data analysis to ensure a high-quality scientific service was provided. Meanwhile I determined crystal structures of APIs using SXRD for various projects to enable solid form confirmation, crystal structure prediction, and structure informatics.

My duties included processing customer orders, resolving company queries via email and telephone, sourcing and purchasing products, performing daily stock checks, validating production records, conducting allergen testing, assisting the Technical Manager, and locking up the factory.

I was responsible for organizing the food production materials, improving the inventory system, recording and storing deliveries, training and supervising cleaning staff, and locking the factory.

My primary responsibility as a Research Associate involved helping fulfil the research goals of the Dynamic Structural Science consortium, principally through performing crystallographic experiments and coordinating scientifically with other members of the group. Additionally I provided crystallographic expertise to other researchers in the Paul Raithby group, particularly during synchrotron experiments to maximize the efficient use of heavily restricted beamtime. I was also expected to represent the Dynamic Structural Science consortium at meetings in the Research Complex at Harwell, as well as present significant scientific results at conferences.

My duties as a senior domestic assistant involved the organization and running of the house during the busy summer vacation period, with staff delegation and quality control forming the bulk of my work.

As a domestic assistant my job was to clean the guest rooms at Chancellor’s Court. High quality cleaning whilst sticking to a strict schedule was expected throughout the day.
