Christopher Campbell has spent three decades in various roles across human services; from an Overnight Youth Counselor, Behavior Specialist, Director of Group Homes, and Trainer, to his current position as Director of Advocacy and Program Advancement. This diverse tenure reflects a deep commitment to serving young people and families in need. With degrees in Law Enforcement Technology, Management, and dual Master’s in Public & Business Administration, Christopher's hands-on experience across residential treatment programs, group homes, private day schools, and community-based services equips him with a comprehensive skill set. His dedication to advocacy and policy development is evident through his involvement in numerous committees such as the Governor’s Safe and Sound Task Force, Chesterfield’s Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT), The Central Virginia Partnership on Youth (CVPY), and the Virginia Department of Social Services’ Institutional Review Board. As President of the Virginia Association of Licensed Child Placing Agencies (VALCPA), Christopher plays a crucial role in shaping policies and practices that impact the well-being of young people and families across Virginia. Christopher's proactive networking and collaboration, serving as a liaison between public and private stakeholders, showcases his commitment to fostering partnerships and driving positive change. His oversight of VHBG's contracts with localities and leadership in the Marketing and Communications Department highlight his effective management and promotion of the organization's mission and services. Outside of work, Christopher and his wife, Pam, are the proud parents of Owen, Addison, and Emmie. Anytime they can, you will find them on some body of water, preferably somewhere in Maine, accompanied by their beloved dog, Bleu.
