Member of the DMS mine warfare/countermeasures test department.This role involves the final test/verification of assemblies, fault diagnosis & rectification and analysis of both PCB's and their associated assemblies (both electrical and electromechanical against specific and varied test specifications).Skills utilised in this role are:- in-depth Problem solving.- fault finding to component level.- working off of own initiative.- PCB rework & modification.- The final verification sign off of kit prior to final inspection.- working with a wide variety of electrical test equipment.- integration of sub system assemblies into final builds of systems.- collaboration with the engineering team to derive solutions to new & existing issues.- Training junior members of staff. Currently I am tasked with being the lead for the build, upgrade and test & final verification of a multi-sensory product (encompassing temperature, pressure and velocity of sound sensors).I am also the 5S champion for the team, this entails leading a monthly 5S audit, analysis of results and creation of results charts.
