Christopher "Chris" Jones is the Acting Director, Small Business Programs for the Air Force District of Washington, headquartered on Joint Base Andrews, MD. Chris is an Air Force Veteran who seeks opportunities to serve others, enjoys sports and various types of creativity as well as engaging in business development-related discussions! He has a demonstrated history of impactful strategic leadership and organization development. The bulk of Chris' professional career has spanned the Federal Government in a multitude of contracting-related positions. These positions allow him to help shape acquisition strategies for meaningful small business participation, provide developmental assistance to, and capability exposure for, hundreds of small businesses. His experience in FAR-based and statutory strategies help to systematically strengthen the defense industrial base.For over two decades, he has provided contracting and small business program training to countless acquisition professionals.
