Reviewing company practices and procedures in where I really shine. I have seen corporations loose hundreds of thousands of dollars due to certain practices that get in the way of unnecessary or properly of reviewing their policies created by management. Certainly, some standards must be set (such as Safety, sexual harassment, violence in the workplace, etc.), however in any given company there are many processes and procedures set into place that create hurdles-- that can in turn create problems for employees--thus affecting cost of price per unit which then minimize profit margins, Just because a policy exists within the corporation, it does not mean that policies are meant to hinder the progress of production.I have found that whenever Corporate Offices dictated new policies or goals it is important for the people who these policies affect be involved in the decision making process as to the best, quickest, safest ways that the policies can be met. Once you have input from the person who actually performs the job as a manager you have obtained several wonderful and unexpected results. The employees will know that you value their input, they 'buy in' to the new policy or procedure because they helped to create them, it will afford management to better understand employees and visa-verse. Through opening the your office or conference room to them, explaining a certain set of goals and objectives the employees will be more willing to bring up more ideas that could make for better productivity, suggestions concerning specific things that management enforces but can be accomplished by doing their jobs a little differently.If you do not value the thoughts, insights, and suggestions of your employees you will never get ahead of the curve,
