Test Technician
Current- Set up and operate standard, commercial, and specialized electro-mechanical test equipment- Use a variety of mechanical test tools and measurement instruments- Perform functional, operational, environmental, and specialized testing- Perform minor maintenance on lab equipment- Utilize and modify spreadsheets for data analysis- Interpret engineering and manufacturing specifications- Receive and prepare product for testing- Train new test technicians on standardized test procedures- Coordinate testing team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and productivity- Communicate with engineering on test and validation planning- Troubleshoot issues with test equipment and procedures- Determine causes of malfunctions in prototype and commercial items- Develop and implement test improvement strategies- Track and delegate dozens of tests concurrently- Prioritize work to meet deadlines
