I am a fully qualified swimming teacher with both my ASA Level 1 and ASA Level 2 swimming teacher qualifications. I have taught my own classes as well as supervising and mentoring lower qualified teachers teaching alongside me.I have taught people ranging from 3 year olds to adults to swim on and off since 2006, in between my studies and other jobs. I teach a range of abilities, from complete non-swimmers to the lower level coaching classes.

I was 1 of 3 voluntary field assistants working with Dr Eleanor O'Brien of The University of Bristol on an evolution/ecology/population genetics project on the environmental and genetic constraints on the ranges of rainforest fruitflies (Drosophila birchii). This job involved setting up experiments, sampling for specimens and collecting data in the field, as well as looking after laboratory populations of fruit flies, species identification and sexing using microscopy. I had to work well as part of close-knit team 24 hours a day over a 2 month period.

I worked in an inbound call centre helping customers from the Bristol and Wessex water areas with their water bills. I took payments, resolved problems as well as I could over the phone, and logged all appropriate information so any resulting jobs could completed satisfactorily. I also made notes on each call so the information was available for other operators in the future.
