• Responsible for the Implementation and Management of the HSE Management System within Asia Pacific Region of operations applicable to AS/NZS4801, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and ISO9001 and the corporate governance of an international Integrated Management System (IMS). • Development of HSE and Wellbeing Policy, Strategies, Plans and Sustainability reporting associated with the monitoring and measurement of performance to meet the senior management objectives and targets. Compile KPI’s and results into Board Reporting processes.• Design, develop and implemented HSE Risk Management Programs and associated tools for organisational and operational level HSE risk management practices. • Plan and conduct internal Process, System and Legal Compliance Audits and participate in external party audits (accreditation and contractor).• Conduct Incident Investigation, Audit, Hazard and Workplace Inspection Reports and provide corrective actions for systematic improvement. • Develop and deliver HSE Induction and Training programs for company employees and contractors. • Develop and publish Asia Pacific company regional HSE written communications including monthly Bulletins, Alerts and Notices. • Assist with project tendering and bid HSE proposal resourcing and cost analysis including evaluating contract and licencing conditions for project.• Liaise with client, contractor and other external stakeholders in relation to company HSE management system and compliance requirements. • Review and monitor company suppliers and subcontractors HSE approvals for Asia Pacific regional operations.• Competent to perform other HSE related roles including Project HSE Advisor (High risk construction work), Alcohol and Other Drugs Testing Officer, Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination, Senior First Aid Officer, Building Fire Safety Advisor, Mental Health First Aid Officer, EEO Contact Officer/ Workplace Investigation Officer and Rail Safety Worker-HSE Advisor.

• Responsible for the management of workplace facilities, plant and equipment maintenance.• Maintain the serviceability (replacement, calibration, and repair) of all plant, equipment and training resources.• Control and liaise with other workplaces, the loan/ issue of equipment and other resources.• Maintain the supply and replacement of workplace equipment through control of the annual financial budget. • Employing value for money procurement guidelines by setting spending priorities.• Coordinate and liaise with Defence contractors and businesses who are involved in facility and plant maintenance.• Provide Support Equipment and Plant related advice and knowledge to the workplace OHS committee employed as the Plant & Machinery Representative.

• Plan, prepare, deliver and review training to technical personnel in accordance with industry standard and company policies. Training includes Aircraft Systems, Ground Safety Procedures, Confined Space Entry, Plant and Equipment for all management levels of the technical workforce.• Maintain Technical publications and ensure publication improvement reports and other variations are reflected in instructional resources.• Assess students competency logs employed as an authorised Workplace Assessor in accordance with competency standards.• Review and update training packages in accordance with AQTF, Quality, Safety and other regulatory requirements, which include:- Curriculum, lesson plans, instructor guide and student workbook version control.- Assessment fairness, validity, reliability and functionality.- Training aids and support equipment.

• Implement, monitor and review workplace safety policy program, including the safety management system and its performance.• Coordinate OHS improvement strategies across the workplace while promoting a positive attitude towards a safer work environment.• Review workplace instructions, directives, and publications comply with the OHS Act 1991 and its applicable Regulations and Codes of Practice.• Provide specialist safety advice in regards to safety related issues, to the workplace hierarchy and personnel.• Liaise with employees, COMCARE (Commonwealth Statutory authority for Safety, Compensation and Rehabilitation) , ARPANSA (Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency), contractors, unions and the general public on behalf of the workplace.• Consult and communicate proposed OHS changes within the workplace.• Coordinate and undertake Workplace Safety Inspections and Audits within the workplace.• Disseminate safety materials throughout the workplace eg. Safety Bulletins, Hazard Alerts and Safety Initiatives.• Maintain current knowledge of OHS developments and issues.• Conduct quarterly safety meetings and formally record minutes.• Assist personnel with reporting incidents and accidents within the workplace.• Investigate and Report a dangerous occurrence or incident to workplace hierarchy, COMCARE and ARPANSA in accordance with guidelines.• Maintain workplace OHS related records (Incident reports, Hazard reports, Hazard registers, Plant registers, workplace inspections, Audits, induction briefs, surveys, fire/ evacuation drills etc).• Assist personnel undertaking the risk management assessment and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).• Assist in assessing, liaising and identifying the safety training needs of the workplace.

• Implement, monitor and review the unit hazardous chemicals management program.• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1991 and the Occupational Health and Safety (Safety Standards) Regulations 1994, Part 6 - Hazardous Substances.• Provide advice to the workplace in regards to Hazardous Substance management.• Control and maintain hazardous substance related processes for MSDS, Chem Alert, Hazardous substance register, risk assessments and training.• Review hazardous chemical risk assessments for adequacy, errors and completeness.• Assist in investigations of hazardous chemicals incidents within the workplace.

• Manage Aircraft Maintenance Workshop which involved managing work crews, facility and equipment, document and record control, spare parts and stock control, manufacture and testing of components, hazardous substance management, maintenance schedules and operational forecasting of supply requirements, engagement and liaising with support contractors and make necessary recommendations for improvement.• Lead and manage maintenance teams to ensure objectives are met and improvements implemented in accordance with airworthiness regulations.• Supervise and manage staff performance utilising employment equity, anti-discrimination, OHS, conflict resolution and ethical behaviour practices.• Conduct orientation programs for new employees.• Facilitate staff development through identification and development of training resources and deliverance of training in order to improve productivity, promote team building and improve basic practices.• Mentor and train technicians in aircraft maintenance practices and conduct workplace assessments of competency.• Develop technical reports for review by senior management and other departments.• Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships and act as primary liaison between employees and management and contact agencies.• Brief senior management about section management activities and serviceability issues.• Maintain technical policy manuals and maintenance compliance reporting for aircraft and related systems including the storage and handling of classified equipment and documentation.• Troubleshoot operational functions, identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement systems and processes to ensure productivity and optimise quality.• Inspect, Analyse and diagnose faults to direct the rectification of equipment and aircraft systems, in accordance with Defence and Civil Aviation regulations.
