Hello, My name is Chris, I am an LPC-A (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) with a master’s degree in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Texas State University. I work from a cultural relational therapy framework in my practice by creating safe and empowering relationships with my clients, allowing for the exploration of their past and current relationships. Together, we analyze relationships that have shaped their communication patterns, emotional well-being, and behavioral practices. Ultimately, through this process, clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others by improving self-awareness, managing their emotions, and mending relational trauma. I have been trained to facilitate individual, group, play, and filial therapy, enabling me to work with clients of all ages. I have the honor of working with a diverse population of individuals with an assortment of lived experiences, which include but are not limited to Black and other POC, people in the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent children and adults, survivors of intimate partner violence, domestic violence and sexual violence + many more. Furthermore, I am a flexible and adaptable team player with strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills and the insight to know when to lead or follow. With an approachable personality, a strong work ethic, and a passion for creating mutually beneficial communities, I plan to be a tremendous force of positive and supportive change wherever I go.
