In 2001 I was hired as a hourly employee with Red Lobster. Over the course of my employment, I worked every hourly position before becoming a manager. I was highly successful as a manager for Red Lobster restaurants. As a manager I was responsible for the successful daily operations of a multi-million dollar store. I was exposed to and participated in most aspects of running a business including understanding of detailed financial reports; communicating, training and enforcing the high standards of both food quality and employee performance; inventory control, ordering and scheduling systems. I successfully created and implemented numerous programs into the business that helped to increase profitability and guest satisfaction which directly helped us achieve “Diamond Club” three years in a row. This award is highly prestigious, only top 5% of 750 restaurants achieve this. Rankings are based on a variety of metrics from profits to guest satisfaction and waste. In addition to managing my restaurant I was also the Regional Crew Training Manager responsible for overseeing all crew training in the region of 8 restaurants through semi-annual audits.
