Managed a team of high-performing, remote Onboarding Specialists whose responsibilities were performing CIP and underwriting businesses for business bank accounts. Was the Onboarding stakeholder for tooling and automation projects and helped drive Mercury's first KYC automation project from conception to implementation by creating automation scorecards, defining processes around partner bank requirements, and holding stakeholders accountable during weekly syncs. Additionally, also created KYB automation scorecards and process maps in accordance with partner bank and compliance requirements to use in future KYB automation plans. Used SQL to identify fraudulent onboarding applications and coordinated with Investigations team to implement flags to identify them.

Managed a remote CIP-team based in the US, a remote KYC-team based in the US, and an onsite team based in India. Strategized, created, implemented, and iterated partner onboarding flows dependent on both partner needs and compliance requirements. Collaborated cross-functionally(Support, Sales, Risk Management, Executives) to ensure timely implementation of new products and enhancements. Performed ongoing creation and curation of training documents, work procedures, Confluence articles and JIRAs.

Helped create and establish WePay's first CIP team. Managed 10+ people across multiple states. Helped create and define initial CIP process. Collaborated cross-functionally(Support, Sales, Risk Management, Executives) to ensure timely implementation of new products and enhancements. Established onboarding processes, training documents and employee growth documents. Created and oversaw fraud flags that triggered settlement monitoring alerts based on current fraud trends.

Leveraged ThreatMetrix data to help identify fraud trends, and create and implement new risk detectors. Led training for all new Fraud Risk Analyst hires. Managed OFAC, Sanctions and PEP screens and escalated accordingly to managers if needed. Worked daily with data science team to improve risk models and rules to reduce false positives and improve hit rates. Managed ZenDesk queue for payment complaints and kept in-depth reporting and tracking to monitor trends based on geolocation, IP, payment types, accounts, etc.

As one of the first Risk Analysts at WePay, I helped drive and optimize our proprietary rules-based engine by leveraging large amounts of data from ThreatMetrix and identifying vectors that were more prone to be attacked and established rules to surface fraudulent payments or settlements. Helped create, and iterate upon, our Account Take-Over policies and procedures(some in collaboration with GoFundMe) which led to the creation of specific Account Take-Over rules that I reviewed daily.
