While many professionals specialize in their fields, I seek to reach beyond them, tearing down walls between engineering and non-technical fields like marketing, sales, training, etc. As an engineering graduate with a Masters in Engineering Management, I have the technical background required to understand modern technology-oriented products and services and to solve problems in an analytical fashion, while being able to not only speak to the business side of a company, but understand the forces that cause a business to thrive or fail.I am currently employed as a Strategist at Red Balloon Security, a cybersecurity startup in New York City. As one of the few non programmers in the company, I wear many hats, acting as a project manager, finance officer, market entry strategist, and general corporate strategist. On the operations side, I manage Red Balloon Security's US government contracts and our relationship with our largest customer, perform financial modeling, set revenue and spending targets, ensure compliance with contracts and laws, write and review contracts, and serve as POC for our outside lawyer and PR representative. I have negotiated multi million dollar deals with a Fortune 100 company, represented Red Balloon Security in SBIR Phase 3 transitions, and manged more than a dozen simultaneous R&D efforts, On the strategy side, I developed the financial and strategy sections of Red Balloon Security's successful Series A pitch deck, developed market entry plans for several billion-dollar verticals, and implemented a realignment of our relationship with our largest customer.
