Leads the execution of $20M USD in Government Research and Development contracts for the Department of Defense, Innovate UK (a UK Government program), and numerous research consortia including NSTXL and ATI. Acts as both Prime Contractor and Subcontractor, under and over major US and UK companies including Northrop Grumman, British Telecom, and General Dynamics. I work closely with Government Program leaders and finance teams to ensure projects met and exceeded the needs of the Government customers. I draft technical and financial reports, documentation, and presentations, lead internal and customer-facing project meetings, organize and lead demonstrations, and act as the primary point of contact for the Government Customer and Parallel Wireless executives to learn about my projects. I also work alongside technical Subject Matter Experts, lawyers, and Parallel Wireless’ finance team to develop proposals, including negotiating with subcontractors, recently netting a 30% cost reduction from a major US defense contractor. Additionally, I am a leader within the Strategic Project Management Organization, organizing project and proposal dashboards for the CEO and President to review, as well as acting as project manager to the executive team’s 5G go to market strategy development and leading our NIST 800-171 (CUI handling) compliance effort. While Parallel Wireless focuses on radio access network (RAN) development in 3G, 4G, and 5G, the skills I use here are applicable to any Government contract for technical R&D.

In this role I supported the activities of Red Balloon Security through analysis, business development, and project management. I managed Red balloon Security's $10M of US government contracts, as well as the largest commercial contract. I also acted as a financial officer, negotiated and wrote contracts, developed and maintained customer relationships, and l worked closely with executive leadership develop Red Balloon Security's high level business strategy. In the last of my many hats, I am also a recruiter. During my tenure at Red Balloon Security I led a dozen IS Government projects from proposal to completion, leading every aspect of the Government Relationship. We performed on numerous SBIR and other small business contracts, and I gained a deep familiarity with the FAR and DFAR rules, DCAA processes, and the other requirements of Government Contracting.

Worked on a contract for the Denver Regional Transportation District, studying operational challenges on a new light rail line in Aurora, CO. During the internship, I developed a model of the existing system in LTK's railroad operations simulation software, and then collected data from the system in person in order to calibrate the model to ground truth reality. Once calibrated, the model was extended to include the new line, and I measured performance to identify the operational flaws. From the results, I developed and tested a new schedule to address the issues while still maintaining appropriate headways and the specified number of trains. Indeed, my schedule required one less trainset than the transit agency had budgeted for, a savings on millions of dollars per year in aquisition and operation costs.

Acted in a variety of roles at Advantix, most importantly as an technical expert for the sales and marketing team, and vice versa. Among other tasks, I:-Researched and wrote MRDs (Market Requirements Documents) and set engineering priorities for two new Advantix products: the S2 and the as-yet-unnamed replacement for the Compact series.-Developed Javascript web apps, performance rating software, and unit selection software for the Advantix Marketing Department, for showcase at a major industry conference in January 2015.-Developed and edited technical documentation for the entire Advantix product line.-Managed and collaborated with Advantix's in-house technical writer.-Researched, developed, and edited marketing, sales and training materials, including catalogs, cutsheets, webinars, application guides, and engineering training tests.-Developed SolidWorks CAD models for engineering projects, marketing materials, and documentation.-Acted as the point person for custom documentation requests for the entire company, including outside salespeople.Reason for leaving: Corporate Restructuring led to my position being eliminated.
