I'm an engineer turned business operations consultant and practitioner. My early training was in systems and nuclear engineering in the Navy. When I transitioned into the business world, I took a position as an analyst in the McKinsey Operations Practice. Over the next 6 years I deepened my knowledge of lean business principles and how to apply them to different environments. I also gained valuable experience in leading small teams to achieve significant business impact across a number of different functions and industries. I moved on from McKinsey to an internal consulting role at Google in their People Ops team, where I helped the team optimize both their HR operations and recruiting. I then moved over to lead staffing at Waymo, Alphabet's driverless car company, helping the company through a significant growth period. From there I took a new strategy and operations role at Cruise LLC, where I helped the Head of AI optimize operations for his engineering team. I have now transitioned to investing full time.My areas of expertise are in business process and performance management design and general business management. My areas of interest are artificial intelligence and blockchain.
