I favor generic programming and automation. With this comes the satisfaction of abstracting away and automating repeatable functionality. More simply, robotic process automation (RPA) can be (and is) applied to every day life, returning invaluable time to be lived in.While continuous improvement is typically used in reference to products, services, or processes, I believe a more general form applies across the board to include personal development, both physically and mentally. I try stay active and often dive into learning something new or fiddling with tech previews. Some major tech experience I've learned from this is with Dart, Flutter, Firebase, Cloud Functions, Firestore, Angular, and Angular Material. Some exposure I am currently working on is with Arduino, Go (thanks TinyGo), and GCloud IoT by building a home sprinkler system/flutter app. I recognize the value of open source efforts and often find myself giving back in various ways. This includes: contributing documentation, tests, debugging, bug fixes, and answering questions about Angular, and a paired talk with my good friend and coworker at Beer City Code 2019: Contributing To Open Source, Lite, and the Beer City Code 2018: Firebase workshop.
