An AAT student aspiring to be a Chartered Accountant. Finance and accounting are not just the cornerstones of any successful business; they are also two of the primary building blocks of our contemporary society, increasing to positions of even greater importance during times of economic crisis, such as the one we are experiencing currently. As such, I fail to see how anyone cannot become fascinated by learning more about the processes which dictate the flow of capital and that shape our world to such a high degree. Having grown steadily fascinated by these processes and having rediscovered my interest in it, during lockdown, I applied for the foundation course in accounting, which I have now finished and moved onto the next stage, AAT advanced.I wish to become professionally qualified chartered accountant. Studying Accounts and Finance is the next step towards this goal, and I am seeking a job which would offer me the best opportunity to apply the principles of finance I've gained and see how they are applied in a real-world context. I understand accountancy and finance requires excellent communication skills, which I've gained through my studies and current position. Comfortable and confident with others as a team working towards a common goal, and brain storming to create brilliant solutions to any problem. An independent learner, who is always challenging himself and seeking new skills.Key strengths include: Completing a variety of bookkeeping functions.Performing accounts and bank reconciliations.Establishing and maintaining sales and nominal ledgers.Evaluating accounting files to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. Utilizing Sage/Xero accounting systems to enable accurate, up-to-date financial recordkeeping and reporting. Trained in VAT.
