Chris leads the delivery of audit and other assurance services to a range of Banking & Capital Market clients and has a broad range of experience in retail and commercial banking, structured finance, credit risk, and process and controls, facilitating interaction with a wide range of financial institutions on global levels. Chris has strong business acumen, understands the big picture, is diligent, organised and passionate about providing quality deliverables. Chris is part of PwC's Structured Finance Group (SFG) Leadership team, a Group which provides services across the lifecycle of structured finance funding deals, including asset pool due diligence, financial statement audit and accounting support. Chris leads a range of structured finance audit engagements, and assists clients in understanding the complexities of funding structures and the associated accounting implications. Chris has a particular interest in assisting clients with interpreting the requirements IFRS 9 and providing assurance to clients on how they implement and maintain a compliant solution. Chris spent 2 years on secondment with PwC in Canada, where he developed PwC's global IFRS 9 assurance methodology and was a member of PwC's "Top 25 Network" - a global team focussing on understanding how the top 25 global Bank's implemented an IFRS 9 solution. During this time Chris contributed to global methodology and insight papers, including the GPPC papers on ensuring a high quality audit of IFRS 9. Chris has extensive knowledge of IFRS reporting and auditing under ISAs and PCAOB rules, along with extensive experience in Sox implementation and advising clients on continuing Sox compliance. Chris led the first 5 year population in Scotland - leading, supporting and guiding the careers of our people over the first 5 years of their PwC careers.
