CurrentDesigned and validated equipment for an early-stage moonshot in low-cost decarbonization.* Used Python/Google CoLab to build out a transient model for system performance. Iterated on tool to increase runtime speed ~20x during its lifetime.* Used Google Sheets to create interactive first-principle calculations for system cost, equipment sizing, and steady-state process conditions.* Designed parametric models using Solidworks FlowWorks and ANSYS to gauge physical parameters of system. Also collaborated with external vendors using STAR-CCM.* For a related moonshot, used open source microcomputers/microcontrollers to create automation rigs for sampling process conditions and controlling parameters. Wrote low-level firmware interfacing with sensors and actuators using various digital (e.g. RS232, I2C, and SPI) and analog protocols.
