Designed and validated equipment for an early-stage moonshot in low-cost decarbonization.* Used Python/Google CoLab to build out a transient model for system performance. Iterated on tool to increase runtime speed ~20x during its lifetime.* Used Google Sheets to create interactive first-principle calculations for system cost, equipment sizing, and steady-state process conditions.* Designed parametric models using Solidworks FlowWorks and ANSYS to gauge physical parameters of system. Also collaborated with external vendors using STAR-CCM.* For a related moonshot, used open source microcomputers/microcontrollers to create automation rigs for sampling process conditions and controlling parameters. Wrote low-level firmware interfacing with sensors and actuators using various digital (e.g. RS232, I2C, and SPI) and analog protocols.

A small product development firm with a focus on innovations in materials science.* Designed, prototyped, and fabricated ~20 electromechanical tools/fixtures for chemists and materials scientists in a small product development/laboratory setting.

Developed and validated an in-vivo chemotherapeutic drug sensing platform. Fabricating mock-ups and prototypes using a micro-CNC mill.

Developed a patent-pending technology for a children's 3D-Sculpting crayon which is safe, non-toxic, and requires no power.

Learned the basics of consulting in the energy industry. Used a newly-developed economic model (COBRA) to predict the economic impact of reducing country-wide carbon emissions, as well as analyzed the accuracy of such predictions.

Wrote, corrected, dictated, and transcribed notes for other MIT students with learning disabilities.

Synthesized complex polymers that demonstrate unique phase transitions. Applied the research and directly analyzing its application to the development of eye drops.

In a military setting, I synthesized armor using high density multi-walled carbon nanotubes. Extensively tested the material's thermal resistance using an Nd-YAG laser system.

Learned the basics of process hazard/risk analysis. Prepared and corrected reports to be given to clients for review. Programmed a Visual Basic script to automate workflow; suggested improvements to server infrastructure.
