Christopher Davis is a specialist in Jackson County Library's Digital Services Department. In short, he provides one-on-one support for staff and clients regarding their devices and peripherals in-person, and at the help desk (via email, telephone, and Zoom). In addition, he leads technology training sessions and writes technology tutorials. He also collaborates with colleagues and other departments to implementand support technology projectsIn other rolls, Christopher has led that handled back-end departments of a fifteen-branch library system including IT, technology instruction, material selection, and acquisitions. He's planned the overview of projects and guided department managers in developing goals. He's led planning meetings and presented at board meetings. He has also Developed department budgets with managers. He's also resolved conflicts with staff and clients.He planed, developed, managed, and supported library technologies such as the ILS (Koha), public and staff computing/printing, and online resources such as the library's website, OPAC, and databases. He has twenty-one years of library work experience at five different libraries including public, academic, and special libraries. In his spare time, Christopher enjoys tinkering with computers, watching Star Trek, performing in music ensembles, and spending time with his wonderful wife and beautiful children.
