A Supervisor Geologist with 9 years of geology experience in mechanised bord and pillar and conventional breast mining methods. I am a MSc. Mining Engineering candidate at WITS University. Registered as a Professional Natural Scientist and GSSA Bushveld Branch committee member. Proven self-discipline, integrity, humility, camaraderie, perseverance, and outstanding work ethic. Strong technical report writing, effective drilling management, orebody delineation, sampling, QAQC, structural mapping, and interpretation. Provide mentoring and coaching to junior geologists and stope observers and supervise the sampling team.I worked as a Graduate Geologist from 2016 -2018 in both mechanised bord and pillar and conventional breast mining methods. This laid the foundation for becoming an appointed Supervisor Geologist (Production) in August 2018. During this time the Sibanye Stillwater/ Anglo American Platinum acquisition took place. I have since worked as a Supervisor Geologist and acted as the HOD Geology for at least 3 months. I was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the Mine Manager for Outstanding Service Delivery to the mine in 2022. I have successfully managed the drilling contractor crews and ensure that the drilling information is incorporated and distributed for effective and optimal resource estimation, mine design and scheduling. As part of the drilling management, I also contribute in generating the drilling budget, plan and schedule underground boreholes. I am actively contributing to grade control initiatives to enhance the optimum exploitation of tons for maximum yield of ounces. I take pride in the specialist geological service delivery to the mine concerning underground mapping, advising on how to negotiate through complex geological structures and lithological disturbances. Safety always comes first! Hence, I contribute to the safety of the mine by adhering to procedures and participating in Visible Felt Leadership to enhance the Fatal Elimination Strategy set out by the Company.
