Provide nutrition and garden education to students, families, and community members in a variety of settings throughout Fresno and Madera counties. Collaborate and leverage program resources to positively impact the nutrition, physical activity and food buying behaviors of CalFresh eligible families. Manage the program’s promotional efforts and resources through various websites and social media platforms. Track and maintain required program-related paperwork, inventory, activity reports, and other documentation.

Provide exemplary customer service for students, staff, faculty, parents, and external organizations. Handle large quantities of time-sensitive and highly confidential information. Restructure office operations to ensure accurate and effective performance of various tasks.

Collect data from 50+ community gardens in Seattle for crop, diversity, and cultural research. Develop geographic maps to analyze trends throughout Seattle using GIS software. Create research poster and present to scholars and general audience on correlation between crop diversity, productivity, and cultural diversity in gardens.

Collaborate with 25 peers to evaluate environmental and conservation issues. Develop social and natural science knowledge and skills in order to better evaluate and understand complexities of conservation issues. Present to fellow scholars and external audiences on food justice to increase awareness of the underlying issues present in the state of Washington.

Collaborate with fellow youth leaders and community members to improve food quality in local schools. Assist in reducing underage drinking by increasing awareness through promotional campaigns.
