Environmental Services Manager
Current*Implement, direct and manage Stormwater Management field program with the goal of meeting regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to the Virginia Stormwater Management Program (VSMP) and the City's MS4 program, specifically focusing upon Illicit Discharge testing and tracking (I.D.D.E) as well as Pre and Post Construction Best Management Practice (BMP) field inspections and enforcement for the City of Hamptons Environmental Services Division. * Implement, direct and manage the Entomology Division for the City of Hampton which houses a Biologist and five Field Technicians. Division responsibilities include all field inspection, citizen requesting response, implementing Integrated Pest Management (I.P.M) and Integrated Mosquito Management (I.M.M.) programs, aerial spray orchestration and bio-monitoring macro invertebrates for beneficial predator counts and waterway health.*Laboratory management responsibilities include larval and adult mosquito speciation (35 local species), miscellaneous arthropod identification, arboviral testing (West Nile, Eastern Equine Encephalitis and Lacrosse viruses) and water quality testing (Copper, Detergents, Chlorine, Phenol's, E. coli and other Fecal Coli-forms).* Other responsibilities that fall under my privy are tributary and estuary policing, assisting in MS4 field implementation, Public Works compound SWPPP for storm water inlet policing and protection specifically directed towards hydrocarbon and sediment reduction and removal.
