Responsibilities include:- Oversee and manage the engineering team consisting of (2) Field Service Engineers and (3) Production Engineers- Support Production needs as necessary- Improve the Disassembly and Inspection Report (D&I Report) and Repair Plan cycle times from 2+ weeks to within 3 days cycle times. Currently D&I and Repair Plan performance is 91% of jobs within 3 day cycle times.- Create Disassembly and Inspection Report Templates for all product lines- Create assembly and disassembly procedures for all product lines- Create Test Specifications and Procedures for all product lines- Oversee and management of test stand engineering- Upgrade test stand from 1.8MW capacity to 4MW capacity. The engineering team re-designed the tooling and configuration of the test stand to incorporate a 4MW capable slave gearbox and created universal tooling to incorporate test capability of 10 product lines. The engineering team also created all drawings required for manufacturing of components- Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) and ensure timely response and closing of non-conformity MRBs- Manage and define work scopes for reverse engineering projects- Engineering team is responsible for Pre- and Post-Test Borscope Reports and test acceptance determinations- Manage and oversee Field Service Engineering team gearbox level and component level Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigations- Ensure RCA investigations are closed within 60 days- International travel to Brazil, Argentina, China and Canada for customer support, sales support and business development- Responsible for development of field service procedures and procedure validation- Responsible for field service and production tooling design- Responsible for warranty claim evaluations and dispositions- Made qualifying decision for main test lab while procuring other test labs as back ups- Created departmental budget plans
