I am a Masters in Public Health candidate at the Colorado School of Public Health, concentrating in Environmental & Occupational Health. I want to use the power of data analysis and geospatial mapping to reduce health disparities, improve outcomes, and allow everyone the opportunity to live a full productive life.I've put in thousands of volunteer hours over those years. In college I helped build affordable houses with my college Habitat for Humanity chapter. Following graduation I moved to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to assist and facilitate the clean-up and gutting of dozens of homes. The connections I made there took me to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I worked in the Organic food industry and farmer's markets. I also helped delivered food to parks by bicycle trailer to feed poor and unhoused neighbors. Upon moving to Denver, I managed an Organic produce department at a downtown health food store through the peak of COVID. I assisted the local Sierra Club chapter to advocate closing coal-fired power plants in the state while advocating a just transition to the emerging green economy for energy workers. I look forward to adapting my cooperative mindset to make a larger impact for the public good at a professional level.
