I was fortunate to have an extremely unique experience during my internship at the Livingston County Department of Social Services. I was hired directly by the Commissioner for a project she had designed that evaluated how services are being received and maintained at the primary facility. The project required the organization and summary of over 100,000 lines of data spanning over 4 years. This data is currently used by the Commissioner to evaluate process needs and requirements. While at my internship, I was also privileged to spend a large portion of my time working side by side with case managers throughout several different departments. This was a great opportunity to shadow them in a variety of circumstances.
