Utility Operator
Strong understating of all roles of the Extrusion operating team.Must be willing to cross train and work in all operations associated with all presses (Head Stretch, Saw Operation, Production Support and Material Support) to maximize efficiencies.Determine best possible order to run dies to operate the extrusion press to reach the optimal press output.Operate the extrusion press to reach the optimal press setting based off industry standards.Identify issues causing scrap and work to minimize the issues to increase press efficiencies.Check samples from the production run and check against customer specifications to guarantee the quality of material leaving the press area.Knowledge to ensure the press is properly loaded to reduce the risk of damaging the press causing downtime.Perform Operator maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure the press is running to its maximum potential.Must communicate effectively with coworkers on all shifts to encourage teamwork and communication amongst all shifts.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while working safely.Must have basic computer entry skills. Ability to complete accurate documentation and work on computers.Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide), have the ability to read a tape measure, and operate, read and maintain calipers and micrometers.Must be able to perform heavy, repetitive lifting on a daily basis.Other duties assigned
