As a single host, I was entirely responsible for the cooking, customer service, cleaning and general upkeep of an 8-man chalet. The foremost included making quality restaurant-level meals from scratch, completing a twice weekly stock count, sticking to strict health regulations and managing my time to deliver breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner punctually, all in a kitchen 1.5 x 2.5 metres in size.Halfway through the season, I was selected to join another host in a 15-man chalet that was struggling with satisfaction scores. I worked effectively in a two-man team to the same high standard I has made on my own, splitting our job roles 50/50 in both the kitchen and the rest of the chalet.By the end of the season, this chalet had achieved 9th in Europe and 2nd in resort (1st was also 1st in France) in the company. These scores were based upon guest satisfaction feedback and return rates.
