College Consultation:Through my experiences as a college coach and a high school athletic director I have designed programs that prepare student-athletes (1st-12th) to participate in athletics at a high level; and also developed a program for the high school aged student-athlete and their parents to help them truly understand the college recruitment process (identifying the right college, visitations, initial eligibility, scholarship expectations, etc.). The recruitment process can be a very stressful and trying time for a family, particularly if the student-athlete is being contacted by multiple college coaches.Leading up to and during the recruiting process we will discuss what classes you are currently taking and what type of classes you foresee yourself taking in college. Also, you will take a personality test and a career apptitude test.The college recruiting process is stressfull and time consuming, and I will provide an in-depth and personable one-on-one. I will get the needed information from the student-athlete; research from the given information and supply my findings to the student-athlete and parents.Training:As a college wrestling coach for twelve years I was introduced to a variety of different student-athletes who came through the campus gates with great expectations even prior to being accepted to the University, but a high percentage of them all had one glaring commonality. They did not know about or understand the rigorous demands of college athletics and academics, in addition to not fully understanding the recruiting process and all of the requirements associated with it.The programs I have designed will help the individual, and all involved with him or her, to be prepared to compete at all levels of competition. Below are descriptions for each phase in age group training.

 Work with athletes to build confidence, mental toughness, relax under pressure and to enjoy competing

 Oversaw all day to day management of the KCFS Athletic Department; 13 high school teams, 6 middle school teams, 3 elementary school teams Ensured all PIAA eligibility requirements are met for MS and HS student-athletes Helped student-athletes with understanding the NCAA Eligibility Center through presentations and one-on-one meetings Completed competition schedules for 13 high school and 6 middle school teams Assisted with recruitment activities of high school athletes Managed all game day operations including: set up, tear down, assigned gate workers, monitored officials, collected and counted gate receipts Responsible for $100,000 budget and ordering of all athletic teams needs Supervised maintenance staff and grounds crew for three schools Oversaw the daily maintenance and cleaning of three schools  Prepared summer cleaning and maintenance schedule  Scheduled transportation needs for all athletic teams and all extra-curricular functions for three schools. Managed and directed the daily/weekly/monthly facility scheduling of high, middle and elementary schools

 Instructed Connections course that incorporates academic strategies and orientation to college life and resources Led day-to-day recruitment and management strategies for this start-up wrestling program  Instrumental in building solid infrastructure including recruiting processes, staff selection and coaching initiatives to formulate a successful collegiate level program Assisted compliance officer in monitoring academic degree progress and eligibility Set team policies for academic success and team retention Serve as a member of the sub-committee for Student Life, addressing issues students have for better on campus extra-curricular activities and sub-committee member for the Academic Task Force Maintained complete oversight for $300K (scholarship and working) budget; procured and purchased all supplies, managed vendor relationships and ensured optimized cost and expense management practices were in place at all times Established successful recruiting program; reviewed student information, traveled to on-site to view matches and meet with perspective team members to make determinations on selections Developed recruiting practices to identify and select candidates who embodied the spirit of the mission of SHU; focus on athletic ability as well as academic and social accomplishments to build a well rounded team Identified, selected and trained support staff and Assistant Coaches; developed and communicated performance reviews and identified areas of opportunity for improvements Coached team to first ever national top 20 team ranking Coached two All-Americans and 4 national qualifiers and numerous Academic All-Americans Team ranked 12th and 11th in the NWCA Division II 2010 and 2011 national academic team rankings

 Led turnaround strategies for this disorganized and failing team Established aggressive recruiting and performance standards to enhance program outcomes
