The project was the implementation of an Android application for an advanced mobile parking system that I was developing for CSIRO during my final year thesis. During this project it was required of me to lead and work with another student in developing this system. Weekly meetings and reports were conducted with my industry supervisor and project manager and academic supervisor, detailing milestones reached and tasks accomplished and further outlined. During this time I learnt a lot about Android development as well with further continuing practice under Object Orientated methodologies.

As part of my requirement for fulfilling my university Bachelor’s degree I was required to undertake an internship for 60 days and worked as an Electrical Engineer writing schematics for cranes. After fulfilling my 60 days they requested that I continue working for them and thus I became even more involved in the work place whilst also continuing to be led under different project leaders. It was my responsibility to update drawings as required and also to look after certain cranes specifically from design stage all the way up to production. At the start I was required to quickly learn new software called PC Schematic which was the main tool in designing electrical drawings. I also spent some of my time with the electricians in solving problems and also being given the opportunity to test drives a fully operational crane. My position also required me to convene with Service Engineers when situations with clients wanting to upgrading electronic hardware or replace parts on a crane. It was my duty to make sure what was required passed correct certification required under the cranes original scope and also the correct hazardous area and safety requirements depending on the cranes operation (offshore/onshore). During projects from time to time issues would be raised and it was my position with the helpful direction of my supervisor to troubleshoot issues that would occur during the assembly process. Unfortunately I had to finish up my time with Favelle Favco since my University timetable could not fit the hours I would need to continue working there.

Writing small plugins and scripts for PHP content management systems such as e107 as well as develop small competitive ladders utilising MySQL and PHP combined. Themed and developed a few small gaming community websites as well as maintain them over a period of time.
